Terms of Use

These terms describe the rules for using DreamBooks and the limitations that apply to the site and its content.

Using DreamBooks

DreamBooks is a website for people interested in children's books to browse and discover books, authors, series, awards, lists, communities, and related reading information. You may use the site only in a lawful manner and only for personal, non-exclusive access to the services we make available.

You are responsible for your use of the site and for any activity that occurs through your account or profile. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use DreamBooks.

Accounts and profiles

DreamBooks lets users create accounts and profiles as part of the service experience. When you create or use an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account to the extent caused by your actions or failure to protect access to it.

Profiles, lists, likes, reading activity, and community participation may be public when you choose public settings or participate in public areas of the service. Communities may be public or unlisted depending on how they are configured, and unlisted communities may still be accessible to anyone with the direct link. You are responsible for your visibility choices and should not share information you do not have the right to make available.

Activity and submissions

DreamBooks is primarily centered on account activity and reading signals such as profiles, lists, likes, reading activity, and community membership rather than long-form user publishing. If you submit or save material through the service, you keep whatever rights you otherwise have in that material.

You give DreamBooks a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your submissions and activity only as reasonably necessary to operate and improve the service. We may remove or restrict material or activity if we reasonably believe it violates these terms or creates risk for DreamBooks or others.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse DreamBooks. This includes attempting to interfere with the site, scrape or extract data in ways that burden the service, bypass access controls, upload malicious code, impersonate another person, or use the site to violate any law or another party's rights.

You also may not post or share content that is fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, infringing, obscene, or otherwise unlawful. We may limit or suspend access if we reasonably believe your use creates risk for the service, other users, or third parties.

Content and intellectual property

DreamBooks, including its design, software, text, branding, and original content, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of any DreamBooks intellectual property to you.

Book covers, titles, author names, publisher information, and other catalog data may reference third-party materials and rights. Those materials remain the property of their respective owners. Your use of the site does not grant any license to reuse third-party content beyond what applicable law permits.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of DreamBooks at any time. We do not guarantee that any feature, page, catalog entry, profile, or community area will always be available, error-free, or complete.

We may also update these terms from time to time. Continued use of DreamBooks after an updated version is posted means you accept the revised terms.

Third-party materials and links

DreamBooks may reference, display, or link to third-party websites, products, book data, or services. Those third-party resources are governed by their own terms and policies, not these terms.

We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices, and a link or reference does not necessarily mean we endorse that third party.

Disclaimers

DreamBooks is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not make warranties about merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

Catalog information, reading lists, community details, and public profile content may contain mistakes, omissions, or outdated information. You should use your own judgment before relying on any content on the site.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DreamBooks and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, profits, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the site.

If liability cannot be excluded, the total liability of DreamBooks and its operators for claims arising out of or related to the site will be limited to the minimum amount required by applicable law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to DreamBooks if we believe you have violated these terms, created security or legal risk, or misused the site. You may stop using DreamBooks at any time.

Any provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute-related provisions, will continue to apply.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless DreamBooks and its operators from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your content, your misuse of the site, or your violation of these terms or the rights of another person or entity.
